What do frogs, newts, toads and salamanders all have in common?  They are all amphibians!  How many kinds of amphibians do you think there are in the world?  On Monday, July 31, the 7000th known species of amphibian was discovered in South America.  Centrolene sabini is a type of glass frog living in the high elevations of Manu National Park in Peru.

The Wiggly Tendrils have written a song to celebrate the 7000th amphibian.  Click below to listen to this fun song.  And if you'd like to read more about these interesting creatures, you can find many books about amphibians at the library.
