This summer the Olathe Public Library will be hosting a couple of book discussions for 3rd - 5th graders and their parents.  The first book discussion of the summer will be on Wednesday,
June 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Indian Creek Branch.  The book we will be discussing is Ben and Me by Robert Lawson.  In this book the remarkable life of Benjamin Franklin is related with wit, warmth and wisdom by a mouse named Amos.  A free copy of the book will be provided to each child who registers.  Both the child and adult should read the book and come prepared to discuss it.  Our book discussions are designed to encourage children and adults to read and discuss books together.

Registration is required.  You may register by calling (913) 971-6874, in person at either Olathe library, or online via our website at www.olathelibrary.org/events.  PLEASE NOTE:  Your copy of the book must be picked up at the Indian Creek Branch.

The second book discussion of the summer will be on Wednesday, July 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Indian Creek Branch.  Registration for that begins on Monday, June 30.  The book that will be discussed is Phineas L. MacGuire...Gets Slimed!
