And if you have a 12 - 24 month old child, the library offers a weekly Rhyme Time for this age with an accompanying adult.  This is an interactive language-enrichment program featuring rhymes, songs, and finger plays selected to introduce your child to the sound and rhythm of words and simple concepts such as physical features and counting.  No registration is required for Rhyme Time, but space is limited.  Click here for more information and the complete schedules for Rhyme Time.

The library also offers a Tuesday evening Family Storytime (featuring the same stories as the preschool storytimes), but it is open to the whole family and requires no registration.  These sessions are held at the Indian Creek Branch on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. beginning September 17 through November 19.

PLEASE NOTE:  Online registration is not available for storytimes.  You may register in person at either Olathe library or by calling (913) 971-6874.

Storytime is a great way to help instill a love of books and reading in your young child, as well as making the library a favorite fun place to visit.  We hope to see you this fall!
