The Olathe Public Library is very excited to bring acclaimed children's author Kate Klise to Olathe!  She will be doing a variety of programs at the Indian Creek Branch Library on Saturday, February 22.  Kate has written picture books, chapter books, as well as books for teens.  Titles include books from the 43 Cemetery Road series, The Regarding series, The Three Rascals series, and a number of picture books illustrated by her sister Sarah.  If you've read any of her witty and inventive books, you know meeting her in person will be a real treat.

     Young writers in grades 3 - 5 are invited to join children's author Kate Klise for a writing workshop. Teen Writing Workshop - for 6th - 12th graders  * Registration required

     Teen writers are invited to join children’s author and former correspondent for People magazine, Kate Klise, for a writing workshop. Learn how to write a classic People magazine-style story that will help you write compelling essays to use in class or for college applications. Program will last about an hour. This program requires registration.  You may register online, in person at either Olathe library, or by calling (913) 971-6888.

Come meet children's author Kate Klise and learn the secret recipe for writing winning stories! After her presentation, the author will be happy to sign books. Books will also be available for sale. All ages are welcome, but the presentation will be geared toward grades K - 5, and space is limited. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 2:30 p.m.
