Thanks to everyone who cast their ballots in our Vote for Books! election. The votes have been counted and the results are in. It was a competitive race.
The winners among the two Olathe libraries were President Pete the Cat and Vice-President Big Nate.
The overall winners among all the Kansas City metro-wide area libraries were President Bad Kitty and Vice-President Babymouse.
The library systems that participated in Vote for Books! included Olathe Public Library, Johnson County Public Library, Kansas City, MO Public Library, Kansas City, KS Public Library, Mid-Continent Public Library, and Leavenworth Public Library. Here is the breakdown of total votes:
- Bad Kitty and Babymouse won with 1325 votes
- Pete the Cat & Big Nate, received 1233 votes
- Fly Guy & Lady Bug Girl received 1074 votes
- Origami Yoda & Scaredy Squirrel received 900 votes
Also, congratulations to Carolina and Bailey who were the winners in our drawing for a free book. We hope you all had fun voting! I wonder who will be running in 2016??
